I’ve listened to Bang and I’m in the process of listening to Echo. All i can say is ‘wow’! I’m used to reading romance, paranormal romance & time-travel romance novels which all have drama & sex. But after so listening to so many they all seem so predictable…man & woman hate & battle it out on the surface & while secretly lusting after each other until one conquers the other. While I dont like murder mysteries I was looking for something different. And the black lotus series is it. Nina/Elizabeth’s life is tragic! I keep thinking there’s no way these characters can have a happy ending. But I’m not giving up hope because I hate depressing sad endings. If it is a bad ending I will be disappointed but at the same time, e k blair is one heck of a story teller! Great tragic touching story! But unfortunately the characters’ childhood scenes were hard to get thru because they are so close to real life for kids all over the world. The realism was definitely there.
